Our Mission
To provide a rigorous, inclusive, and internationally recognised platform where scholars, researchers, practitioners, and innovators from every discipline can publish original work that advances human knowledge — and to make that knowledge freely accessible to all.
01 — Overview

About the Journal

A multidisciplinary platform rooted in academic rigour and scholarly integrity.

The Journal of International Research and Multidisciplinary Innovation (JIRMI) is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal established to serve as a credible and inclusive forum for the dissemination of original research, critical analysis, and innovative scholarship across the full spectrum of academic disciplines.

Founded with the conviction that meaningful knowledge does not respect artificial boundaries between fields, JIRMI actively welcomes research that is discipline-specific as well as work that transcends conventional academic categories. The journal is committed to fostering intellectual exchange between researchers working in natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, law, medicine, technology, business, and every field in between.

JIRMI is particularly attentive to research emerging from India and the broader Global South, providing a respected international platform for scholars who might otherwise face barriers in accessing high-visibility publication venues. At the same time, the journal maintains stringent international standards of peer review, ethical conduct, and scholarly rigour that make it a credible destination for authors worldwide.

02 — Aims

Journal Aims

What JIRMI seeks to achieve through every volume and issue.

🎯
Advance Original Research
To publish original, peer-reviewed scholarship that makes a genuine contribution to its field — whether by presenting new findings, advancing theoretical frameworks, or offering critical reappraisals of existing knowledge.
🌐
Bridge Disciplines
To create a space where interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research is valued and encouraged, enabling scholars to engage with questions that a single discipline cannot adequately address alone.
🔓
Champion Open Access
To make published research freely available to all readers worldwide — students, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and the general public — without subscription or paywall barriers.
🇮🇳
Elevate Indian Scholarship
To provide a credible international platform that amplifies Indian research across all disciplines and contributes to India's growing position in global academic discourse.
👩‍🎓
Nurture Emerging Scholars
To support undergraduate students, postgraduate scholars, and early-career researchers by providing a serious, supportive, and constructive peer-review experience.
⚖️
Uphold Academic Integrity
To maintain the highest standards of ethical research practice, including originality, proper attribution, transparency of methodology, and responsible use of emerging technologies such as AI.

06 — Editorial Policies

Editorial & Review Policies

Governing standards that apply to all submissions at JIRMI.

🔍
Peer Review Model
Double-blind peer review — the identities of both the author(s) and the reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. Each manuscript is assessed by a minimum of two independent subject-matter experts.
Review Timeline
Authors receive an acknowledgement within 1 hour of submission. Editorial screening is completed within 1–2 days. A full peer-review decision is communicated within 7–10 working days of submission.
📋
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened for similarity prior to peer review. The similarity index must be below 15% (excluding references, block quotations, and properly attributed material). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned without review.
🔓
Open Access Policy
All articles published in JIRMI are made immediately and permanently free to read under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence. Authors retain copyright in their work. An Article Processing Fee (APF) applies upon acceptance.
✍️
Authorship & Contribution
All listed authors must have made a material intellectual contribution to the work. Authorship must be agreed upon before submission. Gift authorship, ghost authorship, and omission of qualifying authors are grounds for rejection or retraction.
🔄
Originality Requirement
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished work not currently under review at any other journal, conference, or repository. Simultaneous submission to multiple venues will result in immediate rejection and a record of misconduct.
07 — AI Policy

Policy on AI-Generated Content

JIRMI welcomes responsible use of AI tools while preserving the primacy of original human scholarship.

Artificial intelligence tools — including large language models, AI writing assistants, and generative AI platforms — are transforming the landscape of academic research and writing. JIRMI recognises both the potential and the risks of these technologies, and has adopted a nuanced, evidence-informed policy.

AI Use Guidelines at JIRMI
Permitted: Using AI tools for grammar checking, language editing, formatting assistance, literature discovery, and data visualisation — provided this is disclosed in the Acknowledgements section.
Restricted: AI-assisted drafting of sections of the manuscript is permitted only where the AI output has been substantially rewritten, critically evaluated, and intellectually owned by the human author. All such assistance must be disclosed.
Prohibited: AI tools may not be listed as authors. Undisclosed or extensive AI-generated content that replaces original intellectual contribution is grounds for rejection or retraction. The corresponding author bears full responsibility for the authenticity of all submitted content.
08 — Language Policy

Language of Publication

JIRMI is committed to making Indian scholarship visible — in India's languages as well as English.

🇬🇧
English (Primary)
The primary language of submission and publication. Authors writing in English should ensure language clarity; non-native English speakers are encouraged to seek proofreading assistance before submission.
🇮🇳
Indian Regional Languages
Submissions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and other recognised Indian languages are accepted. An English abstract is mandatory for all regional language submissions.
📌 For regional language submissions, the title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in both the regional language and in English. The editorial team will assess regional language manuscripts with the assistance of discipline-appropriate reviewers proficient in that language.

10 — Indexing

Indexing & Abstracting

JIRMI is actively pursuing indexing in leading international databases to maximise the visibility and impact of published research.

As a newly established journal, JIRMI's ISSN registration and indexing applications are currently in progress. The journal is committed to meeting all quality and publication regularity requirements for listing in major abstracting and indexing services. Authors can be confident that published articles will be assigned a permanent DOI and will be freely discoverable via Google Scholar and open web indexing from the date of publication.

🔄 Indexing Status: ISSN applied. Indexing applications to major databases are in progress. This page will be updated as indexing confirmations are received. Authors are encouraged to self-archive their published articles in institutional repositories and academic networks such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu to maximise reach in the interim.
