JIRMI was founded in 2026 with a single conviction: that the most urgent and interesting questions of our time don't belong to any one discipline. We are a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal publishing original research, reviews, and scholarly commentary across law, medicine, science, engineering, arts, and the social sciences.
Why JIRMI Exists
Academic knowledge has a gatekeeping problem. Journals are expensive to access, slow to review, narrow in scope, and often indifferent to emerging scholars from institutions outside the traditional research hierarchy.
We started JIRMI because we believed something different was possible — a journal where quality, not prestige, determines what gets published; where a student from a Tier-2 city can place rigorous, original work alongside seasoned academics; and where readers anywhere in the world can access that work for free.

Academic publishing — especially in India — is fragmented, expensive, and discipline-siloed. Researchers doing genuinely cross-cutting work often find themselves without a natural home. JIRMI was created to be that home.
Founded in 2026, JIRMI is a young journal with a long horizon. We are building the infrastructure, editorial processes, and scholarly community that open-access multidisciplinary publishing deserves — and we are doing it transparently, one issue at a time.
