The rules governing your use of jirmi.in, manuscript submissions, published content, and your relationship with JIRMI as a reader, author, or contributor.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the website at jirmi.in ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and the Journal of International Research & Multidisciplinary Innovation ("JIRMI," "we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietorship operating from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
2. About JIRMI
JIRMI is a fully open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary academic journal published online from India. JIRMI publishes monthly issues with quarterly volumes and accepts original research, review articles, and scholarly notes across all academic disciplines. The journal is published under the ISSN 3139-8650 (Online).
3. Eligibility
The Website is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. Persons under 18 may use the Website or submit manuscripts only under the supervision and with the consent of a parent, legal guardian, or institutional supervisor (such as a faculty advisor). By submitting a manuscript, you represent that you meet this eligibility requirement.
4. Use of the Website
4.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Website to:
- Read, download, and share published articles in accordance with their Creative Commons licence
- Submit manuscripts for peer review and publication
- Apply to join the editorial board
- Contact the editorial office
- Access information about JIRMI's policies, guidelines, and editorial board
4.2 Prohibited Use
You shall not:
- Use the Website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers, or any connected systems
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from the Website in bulk without prior written permission
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authorship in any submission
- Submit plagiarised, fabricated, or falsified work
- Interfere with or disrupt the Website's functionality or infrastructure
- Reproduce, mirror, or frame any part of the Website on another site without permission
5. Manuscript Submission & Publication
5.1 Author Warranties
By submitting a manuscript to JIRMI, you represent and warrant that:
- The work is original and has not been published previously in any form (except as a preprint, where disclosed)
- The work is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal or publication
- All authors listed have made substantive contributions and have approved the final manuscript
- The work does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, or any other rights of any third party
- All sources, data, and references are properly cited and attributed
- Any research involving human or animal subjects has received appropriate ethical approvals, and such approvals are disclosed in the manuscript
- Any use of artificial intelligence tools in the research or writing process has been disclosed in accordance with JIRMI's AI Use Policy (see Section 6)
5.2 Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. JIRMI reserves the right to:
- Desk-reject a submission without peer review if it falls outside the journal's scope, does not meet formatting requirements, or does not meet minimum scholarly standards
- Request revisions as a condition of acceptance
- Make a final editorial decision that may differ from reviewer recommendations
- Withdraw or retract a published article in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines if ethical violations, plagiarism, data fabrication, or other serious concerns are identified post-publication
5.3 Submission Fees
JIRMI charges a submission fee to support editorial and publication operations. The applicable fee, payment methods, and any fee-waiver policies are communicated at the time of submission.
5.4 Publication and Licensing
Accepted articles are published online under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). Under this licence:
- Authors retain copyright over their published work
- Anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, or use the published article for any lawful purpose, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s), a link to the licence is provided, and any changes made are indicated

Each published article is assigned a permanent Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
5.5 Corrections and Retractions
JIRMI follows COPE guidelines for handling corrections (errata/corrigenda), expressions of concern, and retractions. If significant errors, ethical violations, or integrity concerns are identified in a published article — whether by the authors, readers, reviewers, or editors — JIRMI reserves the right to issue a correction notice, an expression of concern, or a retraction notice, which will be permanently linked to the original article.
6. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
JIRMI acknowledges that AI-based tools (such as large language models, grammar checkers, and data analysis software) are increasingly used in academic research and writing. JIRMI's policy on AI use is as follows:

| AI cannot be an author | Authorship requires the ability to take responsibility for the work and to be accountable for its content. AI tools do not meet this criterion and shall not be listed as authors or co-authors. |
| Authors bear full responsibility | Regardless of AI assistance, the submitting and corresponding authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of the manuscript. |
| Undisclosed AI use is a violation | Failure to disclose material AI use constitutes a breach of publication ethics and may result in desk rejection, retraction of a published article, or other editorial action in accordance with COPE guidelines. |
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Website Content
The JIRMI name, logo, website design, layout, graphics, and all original non-article content on the Website are the intellectual property of JIRMI and are protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws, including the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute such content without prior written permission.
7.2 Published Articles
Published articles are the copyright of their respective authors and are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Users of published articles must comply with the terms of that licence, including providing appropriate attribution.
7.3 User-Submitted Content
By submitting content to JIRMI (manuscripts, cover letters, editorial board applications, contact form messages), you represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. You grant JIRMI the licences described in Section 5.4 above with respect to manuscripts accepted for publication.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
JIRMI does not warrant:
- The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Website
- The absence of viruses, malware, or other harmful components
- The suitability of published research for any particular purpose
The views, opinions, and findings expressed in articles published by JIRMI are those of the respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of JIRMI, its editors, its editorial board, or its management. JIRMI does not endorse or guarantee the validity of any research findings, methodologies, or conclusions published in the journal.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- JIRMI, its proprietor, editors, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and management personnel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Website or any content published on it.
- JIRMI shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from reliance on published research, editorial decisions, peer review outcomes, submission fee payments, or delays in the editorial or publication process.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JIRMI, its proprietor, editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and management personnel from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your submission of any content that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party
- Any claim of plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical misconduct related to your submitted or published work
- Your use or misuse of the Website

The Website uses or links to third-party services, including but not limited to:

12. Modification of Terms
JIRMI reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Website after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
For material changes that significantly affect user rights or obligations, JIRMI will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the Website.
13. Termination
JIRMI reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Website, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that JIRMI reasonably determines to be harmful to the journal, its users, or its editorial integrity.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, which includes:
High Court of Judicature at Bombay (Bombay High Court, Principal Seat) — for matters within its original or appellate jurisdiction
The parties agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the above courts and waive any objection to the venue or the convenience of the forum.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be deemed severed from these Terms.
16. Waiver
The failure of JIRMI to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term shall be effective only if in writing and signed by JIRMI.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies published on the Website (including the AI Use Policy, Author Guidelines, and Publication Ethics statement), constitute the entire agreement between you and JIRMI with respect to the use of the Website and supersede all prior understandings, agreements, or representations.
